Initiated by the Directorate of School Education, Union Territory of Puducherry, the “Award of Scholarship to the Children who are Recipients of National Child Award for Exceptional Achievements and Other National / International Merit Awards” scholarship programme
This program seeks to honor and assist gifted students who have earned other National/International Merit Awards or the National Child Award for Exceptional Achievements in their quest of excellence in several spheres of Human Resource Development.
Benefits
- Scholarship Amount: ₹6,000/- per annum per student.
- Mode of Disbursal: The scholarship amount is directly transferred to the Aadhaar-seeded bank account of the recipient via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) through the Electronic Clearance System (ECS).
Eligibility
- The applicant must be a domiciled resident of the Union Territory of Puducherry.
- The applicant must be a recipient of the National Child Award for Exceptional Achievements or any other National/International Merit Awards.
- The applicant must be studying in an educational institution recognized by the State Government, Central Government, or a recognized private school.
Application Process
Offline Application
Step 1: Obtain the Application Form
- The interested applicant must visit the Head of Institution (HoI) of their respective educational institution.
- Request a hard copy of the prescribed application form for this scholarship scheme.
Step 2: Fill the Application Form
- Fill in all mandatory fields in the application form.
- Attach a passport-sized photograph (signed across, if required).
- Attach self-attested copies of all mandatory documents.
Step 3: Submit the Application
- Submit the completed application form along with required documents to the Head of Institution (HoI).
- The HoI will forward the applications to the Directorate of School Education, Puducherry for processing.

- Stamp-sized Photograph.
- Aadhaar Card.
- Testimonials of the Award received by the student.
- Certificates of Exceptional Achievements in any recognized field of Human Resource Development.
- Residential/Domicile Certificate issued by an Officer of the Revenue Department not below the rank of Deputy Tahsildar.
- For applicants outside Puducherry: The application must be countersigned by the competent educational authority of the respective State/Union Territory.
