Application Process

Offline & Online
Step 1: Obtain the mandatory PERMIT for tubewell construction from the Pondicherry Ground Water Authority
Step 2: Approach the concerned office for tubewell construction—if using private machinery, obtain an NOC
Step 3: Construct the tubewell (registered with the Pondicherry Ground Water Authority); the Agricultural Officer (Engg.) will inspect the work
Step 4: After completion, visit the designated office to request the hard copy of the prescribed application form from:
  – Puducherry: Office of the Hydrogeologist-II, State Ground Water Unit & Soil Conservation, Thattanchavady, Puducherry-9
  – Karaikal: Office of the Additional Director of Agriculture, Karaikal
Step 5: Fill in all mandatory fields in the application form, affix a passport-sized photograph (signed if required), and attach self-attested copies of required documents
Step 6: Submit the duly completed application form within 90 days from the date of completion of the tubewell/filter point construction
• On submission, a unique seniority number is assigned to the application for future reference
