AICTE-INAE Travel Grant Scheme for Engineering Students | ₹1 Lakh Reimbursement for Global Conferences & Research

The AICTE-INAE Travel Grant Scheme was set up by a partnership of the All India Council for Technical Education and the Indian National Academy of Engineering. By motivating students to attend global scientific events including conferences, seminars, symposiums, workshops, and exhibits, the AICTE-INAE Travel Grant Scheme aims to offer excellent engineering training in India.

Submit research paper at such events from AICTE-approved engineering schools, partial travel stipend refund, and also refund for the registration fees. Such program enhances students’ participation in knowledge-sharing activities across the world, whose aim is towards innovation, along with a research-based culture.


Financial Support

  • Reimbursement of registration costs, visa costs, and travel insurance up to ₹5,000.
  • 50% of the ticket and local transportation from the airport to the event will be reimbursed, provided no more funding is available.
  • Reimbursement of the real cost of transportation from the institution to the closest airport and back, up to the AC II-Class train fare.
  • The maximum amount of money each student can get in reimbursements is ₹1,00,000.

Eligibility

Only candidates satisfying all of the following criteria would be considered for the scheme:

  • Academic Background:
    • M.E./M.Tech students in first or second year of MS Research, M.Sc. in Engineering, dual degree B.E. and M.Tech, or any other degree that requires at least four years of engineering study.
    • B.E./B.Tech students in pre-final or final year.
  • Institute: The student should be studying in an engineering college which has AICTE approval.
  • Academic Record: During the last academic year, the student should have secured an undergraduate CGPA of at least 7, or 65%.
  • Research Paper: For presenting a research paper at an international scientific event, a letter of acceptance is necessary.

Note: The financial aid will be available to students only during the period of the semester.

Applicants must submit the following:

  • Date of birth, age, awards, scholarships, credentials, research experience, and publications shall be included.
  • A passport-size photograph.
  • Copy of the letter of acceptance from the organizers of the event.
  • Research Paper: full text or abstract of the submitted paper for the event.
  • Project Impact Brief: a description of the potential effects of the project.
  • Expected Outcome Summary: summary of the expected outcomes from presenting the study report.
  • Student’s Certificate: scanned copy of the student’s certificate.
  • Head of the Institution’s Endorsement Letter: scanned copy of the endorsement letter issued by the head of the institution.
