The Agricultural Marketing Infrastructure (AMI) scheme under the Integrated Scheme for Agricultural Marketing (ISAM) aims to improve value addition, processing, and marketing at the farmer level. It supports the creation of scientific storage and marketing infrastructure to enhance income through better marketable and processed produce.
It is open-ended, demand side and credit-linked offering back-ended subsidies on eligible projects viz storage infrastructure (private entities/cooperative: 50–5000 MT; state agencies:50-10,000 MT) and beyond-storage marketing. Subsidies between 25%(or 26 if project is in a coastal State) and 33.33% (depending category and location of project)

Subsidy Details
- Plain Areas: 25% subsidy on the project cost.
- NER, Hilly Areas, Women/SC/ST Promoters, FPOs: 33.33% subsidy.
- Eligible Infrastructure Projects:
- Storage infrastructure for 50–5000 MT (Private/Cooperatives) and 50–10,000 MT (State Agencies).
- Development/Upgradation of Rural Haats into Grameen Agricultural Markets (GrAMs).
- Infrastructure for market yards, direct marketing, cold storage (up to 1000 MT), reefer vans, and Integrated Value Chain (IVC) projects.
Application Process
Offline Steps:
- Loan Application:
- Promoters apply for a term loan from a Financial Institution (FI).
- Subsidy Application:
- The FI applies for Advance Subsidy within 90 days of the first loan installment through NABARD’s ENSURE portal.
- Advance Subsidy Release:
- NABARD sanctions and releases the Advance Subsidy to the FI.
- Completion and Final Claim:
- After project completion, the FI submits the final subsidy claim and requests Joint Monitoring Inspection (JMI).
- Inspection and Geo-Tagging:
- NABARD conducts the JMI and uploads geo-tagged photographs to the ENSURE Portal.
- Final Subsidy Disbursement:
- NABARD releases the final subsidy to the FI after verification.
