The “AGR-50 Scheme – Assistance to Purchase Tractors” was initiated by the Department of Agriculture, Farmers Welfare & Co-operation, Government of Gujarat in the year 2011-12. This scheme is designed to support farmers in purchasing tractors, thereby enhancing farm mechanization and ensuring competitive pricing for tractor models. Recognizing the importance of tractors in modern agriculture and the challenges faced by small-scale farmers in negotiating fair prices, the scheme promotes the use of empaneled tractor models from authorized vendors, ensuring that tractors are available at competitive rates. Notably, this is a 100% state-sponsored scheme.
