The Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare Department, Tamil Nadu, has the “Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare Department: Incentive/Award of Prizes-For Each Subject” scheme for the financial reward of students belonging to the economically backward communities so that they could perform well academically. The best student from each subject is awarded by the program, and one is chosen for the award from each category in the 10th and Plus 2 (12th) exams.

The following are the cash rewards provided through this scheme:
- Plus 2 Exam: ₹2,000
- Eligibility for the 10th Exam: ₹1,000
The following conditions need to be met by the applicant so that he or she becomes eligible for the reward or prize:
- Student Category: The applicant should be a student and have passed the 10th or Plus 2 (12th) exams.
- The applicant should be a resident of Tamil Nadu.
- Community: Candidate must be an Adi Dravidar and belonging to any of the below communities:
- Conversion Adi Dravidar Christian
- Academic Excellence: He/She should have secured the highest marks in all subjects of the district on passing 10th or Plus 2 (12th).
Offline Application
- Step 1: The interested party must collect the application form from the District Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare Officer’s office.
- Step 2: Fill in the application form with all the relevant information, attach self-attested copies of the relevant documents, and paste a passport-sized photo that has been signed across if required.
- Step 3: Submit the filled-in application along with supporting documents to the Adi Dravidar Welfare Director, Chennai-5.
- Step 4: Obtain a receipt or acknowledgement, date, and time, with a unique identification number if one is issued from the concerned office.
