The “Aatmanirbhar Gujarat Scheme for MSMEs” is a flagship initiative by the Industries and Mines Department, Government of Gujarat, aimed at promoting entrepreneurship and boosting industrial infrastructure. Operative from October 5, 2022, to October 4, 2027, it includes various supportive measures for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the state.

The component “Assistance for Power Connection Charges” provides financial aid to offset costs associated with obtaining power connections for MSMEs, especially those located outside GIDC or approved industrial parks.

Benefits

  • Financial Assistance:

    • 35% of the power connection charges paid to the distribution licensee

    • Maximum limit: ₹5,00,000/- per enterprise

    • Applicable for:

      • New power connections

      • Additional load for expansion

      • Shifting of connection or service lines

    • Assistance can be availed once during the operative period

Eligibility

  • Must be registered as a Micro, Small, or Medium Enterprise (MSME)

  • Must have acknowledgment/registration from Ministry of MSME or DPIIT

  • Unit must be located outside GIDC or other approved industrial parks

  • Payment of charges must be made to the distribution licensee during the scheme’s operative period

  • Application must be submitted within one year from the date of such payment

Application Process

Mode: Online

Registration Process:

  1. Visit the Investor Facilitation Portal (IFP)

  2. Click “New Investor Registration”

  3. Fill and submit the registration form

  4. Verify your email through the link sent

  5. You’ll be registered successfully

Post-Registration Process:

  1. Go to IFP Portal → Login

  2. Log in using your email ID and password

  3. Complete the application by providing all required business information and uploading documents

  • Estimate from DISCOM and payment receipt

  • Copy of bills from Power Distribution Company

  • Certificate of Power Distribution License (HT/LT)

  • Category certificate (if applicable)

  • Shareholding pattern (self-certified)

  • Sanctioned and connected load certificate from DISCOM

  • Self-certified expenditure statement with DISCOM documents

  • GPCB NOC/Consent and other approvals (if applicable)

  • GST Registration (if applicable)

  • Cancelled cheque for bank details

  • POA / Board Resolution / Consent Letter (Authorized Signatory)
