Launched on 1st April 2006 by the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of Haryana, this scheme provides financial assistance to Kashmiri migrant families residing in Haryana. The assistance is intended to support the re-settlement process of families who have migrated from Jammu & Kashmir to various parts of Haryana.
Benefits
- Monthly Assistance:
Each eligible family member receives ₹1,250/- per month. - Family Cap:
The total monthly assistance is capped at ₹6,250/- per family. - Duration:
The benefits are provided for a period of 5 years.

- Displacement:
The applicant family must have been displaced from Jammu & Kashmir. - Migration:
The family should have migrated from Jammu & Kashmir to Haryana. - Residency:
The family must currently reside in Haryana. - Income:
The family’s annual income from all sources should not exceed ₹2,00,000/-. - Definition of Family:
The term “Family” refers to the family of the applicant as it was at the time of displacement from Jammu & Kashmir. Any subdivision of the family after displacement is not eligible for additional assistance.
Application Process
Offline/Online Process
- Obtain the Application Form:
- Visit the Office/Sub-Office of the District Social Welfare Officer (DSWO) during office hours and request a hard copy of the prescribed application form, or
- Download and print the application form if available online.
- Complete the Form:
- Fill in all mandatory fields.
- Affix a passport-sized photograph (signed across, if required).
- Attach copies of all required documents (self-attested, if necessary).
- Submit the Application:
- Submit the duly filled and signed application form along with the documents to the DSWO.
- Obtain Acknowledgement:
- Request a receipt or acknowledgement from the authority. Ensure the receipt includes the date and time of submission and a unique identification number (if applicable).
