The Mukhyamantri Udiyaman Khiladi Unnayan Yojana was launched by the Department of Sports, Uttarakhand government, in line with the State Government Sports Policy 2021. Across all thirteen districts of Uttarakhand, the program seeks to inspire rising young sportsmen and offer financial support to gifted children ranging between 8 and 14 years of age. Annually, 3,900 youngsters (1,950 boys and 1,950 girls) will be given a monthly motivation of ₹1,500/- under this effort.
The selection contains six age categories made up of 150 children per district (25 per age group and gender), so 25 fits for each sex and age group. The child’s age as of 1st July is used in age calculation.
Selection Process
- Eligibility Test (P-SAT):
- Applicants must clear the Physical and Sports Aptitude Test (P-SAT) conducted by the District Sports Officer.
- The test includes the following assessments:

- Standing Broad Jump
- Forward Bend & Reach
- 6×10 Shuttle Run
- Medicine Ball Put
- 600-Meter Run

- Based on performance, a merit list will be prepared to select eligible candidates.
