The Directorate of Social Welfare & Social Education, Govt. of Tripura, has introduced an incentive scheme aimed at supporting the girl child. Under this scheme, an incentive of ₹300 per head per month is provided until the girl child reaches the age of 15. The benefit is extended only to girl children born on or after 01/06/2009 to parents who are cardholders of the listed BPL households. The incentive amount is paid directly to the mother, preferably through her bank or post office account. Each eligible BPL family can cover up to two girl children under this scheme. The incentive is sanctioned by the Child Development Project Officer (CDPO) with the prior approval of the Director of Social Welfare and Social Education.

Application Process
Offline Process
- Obtain the Application Form:
- Visit the office of the Child Development Project Officer (CDPO) of the respective AMC, Nagar Panchayat, or RD Block to collect the prescribed application form (available free of cost).
- Complete the Form:
- Fill in all the required details as per the instructions.
- Submit the Application:
- Submit the completed application form to the CDPO.
- Approval:
- The CDPO, with prior approval from the Director of Social Welfare and Social Education, will sanction the incentive.
