Launched on 12th July 2016 by the Tourism Department, Government of Haryana, the Swaran Jayanti Guru Darshan Yatra Scheme 2025 provides financial assistance to pilgrims visiting major Sikh religious sites including Sri Hazoor Sahib Gurudwara (Nanded Sahib), Sri Nankana Sahib, Sri Hemkunt Sahib, and Sri Patna Sahib. The scheme aims to support Haryana residents who complete the “Swaran Jayanti Guru Darshan Yatra” through the State Government, Central Government, or designated societies, thereby promoting religious tourism and cultural heritage.
Benefits
- Financial Assistance:
Each eligible pilgrim may receive a grant up to ₹6,000/- or 50% of the actual expenditure per person, whichever is less. - Coverage:
The scheme benefits a maximum of 50 pilgrims per year. - One-Time Benefit:
Financial assistance is provided only once per pilgrim.
Eligibility
To qualify for the scheme, the applicant/pilgrim must:
- Be a permanent resident of Haryana.
- Complete the “Swaran Jayanti Guru Darshan Yatra” through the State Government, Central Government, or an approved society, and submit the corresponding completion certificate.
- Be eligible to receive the assistance only once.

The scheme is applicable for pilgrimages completed on or after 1st April 2016.
Application Process
Offline/Online Process
- Submission Deadline:
- Applicants must submit their application within two months after completing the Yatra.
- Application Form:
- Complete the prescribed application form (Annexure “A”), available from the official website or at the relevant office.
- Submission:
- Submit the application form along with all required documents to the Director of the Tourism Department, Haryana.
- Verification & Approval:
- The Director scrutinizes the documents received from the State/Central Government/Society.
- Within 15 days, the application is forwarded to the Administrative Secretary, Government of Haryana, Tourism Department for final approval.
- Upon sanction, financial assistance is disbursed via a Demand Draft.
