In line with the provisions of the Persons with Disability Act, 1995 (now replaced by the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016), the Social Welfare Department, Assam has implemented various welfare initiatives for Persons with Disabilities (PwDs). Among these, the “Deen Dayal Divyangjan Pension Scheme” was launched during 2018-19.
