National Heritage City Development and Augmentation Yojana (HRIDAY), a Central Sector Scheme of Ministry of tourism, was launched on 21st January 2015.
This scheme worked towards the urban planning, conservation of heritage and economic growth which are inter-dependent to ensure the heritage character of Indian cities while upgrading city infrastructure.
HRIDAY (Mission) period was from 01.03.2016 to 31.03.2019; HRIDAY focused on civic infrastructure enhancement of watersheds around heritage, religious and cultural places to uplift the tourism and cultural pride.
