Madhya Pradesh government’s Religious Trusts and Endowments Department is organizing the Hinglaj Devi Temple and Nankana Sahib Yatra for Pakistan. The project’s goal is to sponsor the pilgrimage of Madhya Pradesh so that these pilgrims of Madhya Pradesh can travel to Pakistan and see both the Hinglaj Devi Temple and Nankana Sahib, the report stated.
The pilgrims should create a certificate verifying the total costs they have spent following their trip to the holy sites mentioned above. The State Government would refund half of the total amount, which is capped at ₹30,000.
Benefits of the Scheme
- Half of the total amounts that are incurred during the yatra will be refunded by the State Government.
- Maximum amount payable for each pilgrim is ₹30,000.
Eligibility Criteria
- The applicant must be a native of Madhya Pradesh.
- The applicant should have visited Pakistan for Hinglaj Devi Temple and Nankana Sahib.
- An income tax payer should not be the applicant.
- The grant will be available only to one applicant in life.
Note: To take part in this scheme, the pilgrims need to provide details of the expenses they faced during their tour.
Procedure for Offline Applications
Steps to Apply
- If the applicants want financial support, they need to apply through a prescribed application form as well as pass the eligibility criteria.
- All the records and documents should be submitted to the District Collector’s office of Madhya Pradesh within 60 days of completing the pilgrimage.
- After cross-checking all the records, the District Collector’s office will make use of the grant amount appropriately.
