Eligibility Criteria

  • Annual family income from all sources should not exceed ₹8,00,000 per annum.
  • The scholarship is available for a maximum of two girl children per family.
  • Priority is given to applicants from the following Union Territories and North Eastern States:
    • Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Dadra & Nagar Haveli & Daman & Diu, Lakshadweep, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim & Tripura.

Exclusions

  • Failed or dropout students are not eligible for further scholarship renewal.
  • Students receiving other financial assistance or scholarships will not be eligible.
  • If the gap between passing the qualifying examination and admission exceeds two years, the student is not eligible.
  • More than two girl children per family cannot avail of this scholarship.

Application Process

Online Application Steps

New Registration:

  1. Visit the National Scholarship Portal (NSP): NSP Registration Portal
  2. Read the guidelines carefully and scroll to the bottom.
  3. Accept the terms and click “Continue”.
  4. Fill in the required personal and academic details and click “Register”.
  5. Application ID and password will be displayed and sent via SMS to the registered mobile number.

Fresh Application:

  1. Log in using your Application ID and password.
  2. Enter the Captcha code and click “Login”.
  3. Enter the OTP received on the registered mobile number and reset the password.
  4. Navigate to “Applicant Dashboard” and click “Application Form”.
  5. Fill in the required details and upload necessary documents.
  6. Verification of credentials (caste, educational qualifications, etc.) will be done through DigiLocker.
  7. Click “Final Submit” to apply.

Track Payment Status:

  • Students can track their payment status using the Public Financial Management System (PFMS) Portal: Know Your Payment
  • Enter either Aadhaar Number, Bank Account Number, or NSP Application ID to track the scholarship disbursement.
