The Scholarship Scheme for Worker’s Children is implemented by the Haryana Labour Welfare Board (HLWB), Labour Department, Government of Haryana. The scheme provides financial assistance to children of workers employed in industrial and commercial institutions in Haryana to help them continue their studies. Under this scheme, scholarships are awarded on passing the examination and continuing education in the next grade.

The following annual scholarship amounts are provided for different classes:

Eligibility Criteria
- The applicant must be employed in an industrial or commercial establishment in Haryana.
- The worker must be registered with the Haryana Labour Welfare Board (HLWB).
- The monthly salary of the worker should not exceed ₹25,000.
- The worker must have at least one year of service.
- The worker’s children studying in 9th grade or above are eligible for the scheme’s benefits.
- The scheme benefits three girls and two boys per worker.
Important Notes
- Last Date for Application: 31st December each year. Applications submitted after this date will not be considered.
- Children receiving scholarships from other institutions can still avail of this scheme.
- If a false certificate is used for the scholarship, the student will be permanently disqualified, and the scholarship amount will be recovered.
- Children who resume studies after dropping out are eligible.
- Children of workers studying outside Haryana can also avail of this scholarship.
Exclusions
- Children who are self-employed or employed are not eligible.
- Students who have reappeared or have a compartment in their exams are not eligible.
Application Process
Online Registration under Haryana Labour Welfare Board (HLWB)
- Visit the Official Website of the Labour Department Haryana.
- Click on “Welfare Board Beneficiary Login”.
- If not registered, click on “Click Here” to register.
- Read the instructions and tick the acknowledgment box. Click Submit.
- Verify using Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP) – Family ID:
- If PPP ID is not available, retrieve it from the PPP Portal.
- If PPP ID is available, enter it and click “Fetch Family Details”.
- Select the family member (worker) for registration.
- Enter the OTP received on the registered mobile number and verify.
- Fill in the mandatory details, upload a passport-size photograph, and click Submit.
- After successful submission, the applicant receives an SMS/email confirmation.
Applying for Scheme Benefits
- Log in to the Labour Department Haryana portal.
- Click on “Welfare Board Beneficiary Login”.
- Enter Username, Password, and Captcha and click Submit.
- Click on “Schemes” and select the scheme.
- Fill in the required details and submit the application.
Tracking the Application
- Workers can track their application status online through the Labour Department Haryana portal.
- Updates will be sent via SMS to the registered mobile number.

- Visit the Antyodaya-SARAL Portal: saralharyana.gov.in
- If not registered, click on “New User” and complete the registration.
- Verify mobile number and email using OTP.
- Login using the registered email and password.

- Search for the scheme and select it.
