The DPIIT Internship Scheme is an initiative by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India. The scheme provides internship opportunities to Undergraduate, Postgraduate, and Research Scholars who are currently enrolled in recognized universities/institutions in India or abroad.
The objective of this internship program is to offer practical exposure to students regarding the working culture of the Government of India, including the various schemes and programs managed by DPIIT.
Internship Duration:
- Minimum: 1 month
- Maximum: 3 months
- Students can choose the duration as per their requirements.

Note:
- Interns who do not complete the required internship period satisfactorily will not receive a certificate or stipend.

Note 01: Candidates from other disciplines may also be considered based on DPIIT’s specific requirements.
Note 02: Interns must submit a brief report/paper at the end of their internship to their respective division heads.

- Fill in the application form with the required details.

- Agree to the terms & conditions and submit the application.
Selection Procedure
- All applications are compiled in the Establishment Division of DPIIT.
- DPIIT divisions request interns from the Establishment Division based on their requirements.
- The Establishment Division shortlists candidates based on eligibility and forwards applications to relevant divisions.
- Final selection is made by respective division heads and is approved by DPIIT’s senior officials.
- Selected candidates receive an offer letter from DPIIT.
