AICTE-INAE Travel Grant Scheme: Reimbursement for Travel & Registration Fees for Engineering Students

The AICTE-INAE Travel Grant Scheme is a collaborative initiative by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the Indian National Academy of Engineering (INAE).

The scheme supports engineering students from AICTE-approved institutions by providing financial assistance to present research papers at international conferences, seminars, workshops, symposiums, and exhibitions abroad.

This initiative aims to:

  • Enhance engineering education quality in India.
  • Promote a research culture among students.
  • Encourage students to participate in international research platforms.

Benefits

  1. Reimbursement of Registration Fees & Travel Costs:
    • 100% reimbursement of registration fees, visa fees, and travel insurance (up to ₹5000).
    • 50% reimbursement of actual airfare or discounted air tickets, including local transport costs from the airport to the venue.
    • Train Fare Reimbursement: Students can claim AC II-Class train fare for travel from their institution to the nearest airport and back in India.
  2. Maximum Financial Support: ₹1,00,000 per student.

Eligibility

The applicant must be:

  • A student from an AICTE-approved Engineering Institution.
  • Pursuing one of the following courses:
    • Pre-final/final year of B.E./B.Tech.
    • Integrated M.Tech (any year).
    • First/second-year of M.E./M.Tech.
    • Students pursuing MS Research, M.Sc. in Engineering, Dual Degree B.Tech-M.Tech, or any engineering program of at least 4 years duration.
  • Have a minimum of 7 CGPA or 65% marks in the previous academic year.
  • Received an official Letter of Acceptance to present a research paper at an international scientific event (conference/seminar/symposium/workshop/exhibition abroad).

Note:

  • A student can avail this grant only once during their course of study.
