NDRI Institute Scholarship 2025 For M.Sc. And Ph.d

The NDRI Institute Scholarship is provided to Indian students pursuing M.Sc. and Ph.D. programs at the National Dairy Research Institute (NDRI). Scholarships are not available for students receiving financial aid or fellowships from any other source. Awardees must submit an undertaking confirming they are not availing of any other scholarships.

The scholarship is under the administrative control of the Joint Director/Director of NDRI.


Duration

  • M.Sc. (Master’s) Scholarship:

    • 2 years for students with a four-year bachelor’s program.
    • 3 years for students with a one-year prerequisite course.
    • No extensions are granted beyond this period.
  • Ph.D. (Doctoral) Scholarship:

    • 3 years for students with a 4+2 UG and PG program.
    • 4 years for students with a one-year prerequisite course.
    • Extension: A maximum of six months can be granted on merit.

Benefits

  • M.Sc. students: ₹7,560 per month.
  • Ph.D. students: ₹10,500 per month.
  • In-service Ph.D. students (ICAR/SAU employees): ₹1,000 per month (if working in a different institute).

Contingency Grant

  • M.Sc. students: ₹12,000 (for the duration of the course).
  • Ph.D. students: ₹30,000 (for the duration of the course).

Eligibility

  • Only students of Indian nationality are eligible.
  • Must be admitted to Master’s or Doctoral programs at NDRI.
  • Students should not be receiving financial assistance from any other scholarship.
  • Students must submit the following certificates:
    • Acceptance of the award in the prescribed format.

Conditions for Scholarship Payment

    • Master’s and Ph.D. students must register for all prescribed courses every semester.

    • Minimum 65% marks or 6.5 GPA (out of 10.0) required in the previous semester to continue receiving the scholarship.

  3. Conduct Probation:

    • Students on conduct probation will not receive a scholarship during that period.
  4. Termination of Scholarship:

    • If the student leaves or completes their course.
    • If the scholarship term expires.
    • If the student is found negligent in studies.
