Eligibility Criteria

 The applicant must be a Girl Student.
 The applicant must be pursuing:

  • First Year of the Diploma Course OR
  • Second Year of the Diploma Course (Lateral Entry).
    The annual family income (from all sources) should not exceed ₹8,00,000/-.
    Only two girl children per family can apply for this scheme.
    The scheme is open to students from 13 Union Territories and North-Eastern States, including:
    • Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Lakshadweep
    • Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, Tripura

Exclusions

  •  The candidate fails or drops out in any academic year.
  •  The student receives another scholarship, stipend, or salary.
  •  There is a gap of more than 2 years between the year of passing the qualifying exam and admission.
  •  More than two girls from the same family are applying.

Application Process

Step 1: New Registration

  • Visit the National Scholarship Portal (NSP).
  • Click on “New Registration”.
  • Read the guidelines, accept the terms, and click “Continue”.
  •  Fill out the Registration Form and click “Register”.
  •  You will receive an Application ID and Password via SMS.

Step 2: Fresh Application

  • Login to the NSP Portal using your Application ID and Password.
  • Enter the OTP received on your registered mobile number.
  •  Reset your password (if required) and proceed to the Applicant Dashboard.
  •  Click on “Application Form” and fill in all mandatory fields.
  •  Upload the required documents.
  •  Click “Save as Draft” if you want to complete it later, else click “Final Submit”.

Step 3: Track Payment Status

  • Visit the Public Financial Management System (PFMS) Portal.
  • Use Aadhaar Number, Bank Account Number, or NSP Application ID to track status.
