  • The contingency grant can be used for educational materials, but all non-consumable items purchased will remain the property of the university.
  • No house rent allowance (HRA) is provided.
  • Students cannot take up any paid assignments, jobs, or additional stipends during the tenure of the scholarship.

  • Students who pass GATE during their second year of study (from 3rd semester onwards) are NOT eligible.

    • After admission, the University must submit the online claim for the first semester via the UGC online portal: www.ugc.ac.in
    • Upload the GATE/GPAT Score Card and other necessary documents.
    • The university must certify that the student is not claiming financial assistance from AICTE or any other sources.
  2. Student’s Registration on Canara Bank UGC Portal:

    • Visit the Canara Bank UGC Scholarship Portal: https://scholarship.canarabank.in/scholar/Login.aspx
    • Click on “Register” and fill in Student ID, Date of Birth, and Registered Email ID (same as provided by the university).
    • Set up a password and confirm registration.
    • Login to the Scholar’s Corner to check scholarship disbursement status.
  3. Scholarship Approval & Disbursement:

    • UGC will verify claims and release funds via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
    • The first-semester scholarship is paid in full.
    • Scholarships for subsequent semesters will be released after submission of results and grant utilization reports.
