The Internship Scheme by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) enables students to gain exposure to various technology, legal, and management fields at UIDAI Headquarters, Technology Centre, and Regional Offices. Logistic Support

  • Basic lodging facilities are available at the UIDAI Technology Centre (on a payment basis).

Note:

  1. Interns must arrange their own accommodation if working from UIDAI premises.
  2. No transport facilities will be provided.
  3. UIDAI will not provide laptops/computers—interns must bring their own devices.

Experience Certificate

Interns will receive a completion certificate from UIDAI after successfully completing the internship, subject to supervisor approval.


Eligibility Criteria

For Internship

  • The applicant must be a citizen of India.
  • Must be a bona fide student of a recognized university/institution in India or abroad.
  • Any one of the following academic conditions must be met:

A) For B.Tech / BE Students:

  • Must be in 3rd or 4th year (Final/Pre-Final Year).
  • Must have secured at least 60% marks (GPA 6.0) in all prior semesters.

B) For Postgraduate & PhD Students:

  • Must have completed/appeared in 1st-year term-end exams.
  • Must have secured at least 60% marks in Graduation.

C) For Recent Graduates (Pending Admission to Higher Studies or Job):

  • Must have 60% or more cumulative marks in Graduation/Post-Graduation.
  • The internship must be within six months of final result declaration.

For Fellowship

  • Must be registered for a PhD in an Indian institution.
  • Fellowship duration: 6-9 months (extendable to 12 months).
  • Research areas:
    • Computer Science (IT Act, Cyber Laws, Data Privacy, Cyber Security, Digital Economy, AI, Blockchain, Quantum Computing, Big Data Analytics).
    • Public Policy and Management.
