Gayathri Scheme for Academic Excellence (GS-AE) by Andhra Pradesh Brahmin Welfare Corporation

Andhra Pradesh Brahmin Welfare Corporation, a Government of Andhra Pradesh undertaking, launched the “Gayathri Scheme for Academic Excellence” (GS-AE). Under this scheme, the topper of the school/ College/ Institute for the course will be recognized with a certain amount through the prescribed process. This scheme is applicable to students of Andhra Pradesh covering all 13 districts.

Benefits

Financial assistance is awarded based on the academic level:

Eligibility

  • The student and his/her parents should belong to the Brahmin community.
  • The parents of the student should reside in Andhra Pradesh.
  • The student must be a regular (Full Time) student of the course for the academic year 2018-19.
  • The student should be the topper of the entire course (at the end of SSC/ Intermediate or equivalent /Graduation /Professional Edn. Course) in the School/ College/ Institute for the academic year 2018-19.
  • The toppers of SSC/ Intermediate or equivalent and Graduation should have completed the course in Andhra Pradesh. However, toppers of Professional Education Course may have completed the course from anywhere in India but the parents should be residing in Andhra Pradesh.
  • The student should not have availed himself/herself of any amount under any other government scheme for the same purpose.

Application Process

Online Registration & Application:

  1. Visit the Official Website of AP Brahmin Welfare Corporation.
  2. Click on “Scheme” and select Gayathri Scheme for Academic Excellence (GS-AE).
  3. Click on “Registration” to open the application form.
  4. Fill in the required details:
    • Personal Details: Name, Address, Aadhaar Number, Ration Card, Bank Details, etc.
    • Upload Required Documents: Photo, Signature, Certificates.
  5. Submit the application and receive a reference number.

Checking Application Status:

  1. Click on “Services” → Select “Know Your Status”.
  2. Enter Reference Number / Mobile Number / Aadhaar Number.
  3. Select Financial Year and fetch details.

Downloading Acknowledgment Slip:

  1. Click on “Acknowledgment Slip” under the concerned scheme.
  2. Enter Aadhaar Number and select the Scheme.
  3. Click on Submit.

  • Aadhaar Card of student & parents (with Andhra Pradesh address).
  • Caste Certificate (issued by MeeSeva).
  • Residence Certificate (issued by MeeSeva).
  • Birth Certificate (issued by MeeSeva).
  • Topper Certificate (issued by the Head of the School/College/Institute, stating that the student is the topper of the course for the academic year).
  • Mark Sheet.
  • Bank Passbook (Student’s account in Andhra Bank or SBI, signed by the Branch Manager with seal).
    • For Professional Education Course toppers outside Andhra Pradesh, an account in any Nationalized Bank is acceptable.
