Objectives
To enable the meritorious faculties and officers of AICTE to interact at international level to update themselves to the global changes in the concerned field of specializations through paper presentation in conference abroad& within India.
Benefits
The funding available under this scheme is based on the group of countries the applicant is traveling to:
- Group A: North America, Australia, South America, New Zealand – ₹1,50,000
- Group B: Europe, Far-East Asia, Japan, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea, & Africa – ₹1,20,000
- Group C: Neighboring Countries, Gulf Countries & South-East Asia – ₹1,00,000
- Group D: Within India – ₹50,000
Reimbursement includes:
- Registration fee for the conference.
- Per day allowance (according to the central government rules, covering conference days and the actual journey period).
- Total travel expenses from the international airport to the destination and back.
Note: If the conference is held online, only the registration fee will be reimbursed.
Terms and Conditions
- The applicant must travel via Air India, unless Air India does not operate on that route.
- Only one proposal can be submitted at a time.
- If an application is rejected for a particular event, it will not be considered again.
- The grant must be used exclusively for the intended purpose.
- Applications should be submitted three months in advance.
Eligibility
To apply, the applicant must:
- Be a full-time regular faculty from an AICTE-approved institute or university (with at least 5 years of existence).
- Be an officer of the Assistant Director level or above, on regular or deputation basis in AICTE.
- Not have availed the grant in the past three years.
- Have received acceptance for a paper from the conference organizers.
Application Process
Online Registration for New Institutes:
- Visit the AICTE Portal and click on ‘New Institute’.
- Sign up with the necessary details and complete the registration process.
- Once registered, log in to the portal to apply for the AICTE-Professional Development Scheme.
- Fill out the AQIS Application, providing personal, educational, and funding details.
Documents Required:
- Certified copy of passport indicating visa and immigration details.
- Air tickets from Air India or a certificate if Air India is unavailable.
- Letter of acceptance from the conference organizers.
- Registration fee receipt and participation certificate.
- Certificate from the institution that the applicant has not availed this grant in the last two years.
