Puducherry Cash Award Scheme for Visually Impaired Students 2025: SSLC & HSC Top Rankers

Government of Puducherry, Department of Social Welfare, India has come out with Cash Award Scheme to award meritorious visually impaired students. It is aimed at students who have got the topper in state, first and second ranks in Secondary School Leaving Certificate( SSLC ) / Higher Secondary Certificate(HSC) from all over the state. This is to facilitate good academic performance among V.I government and private school students of Puducherry.

These cash prizes are awarded to visually impaired students who have excelled in their SSLC and HSC examinations.


Eligibility Criteria

  1. Residency: The applicant must be a Native/Resident of the Union Territory of Puducherry for at least 5 years.
  2. Disability Requirement: The applicant must have a 100% visual impairment disability.
  3. Medium of Study: The applicant should have studied in Tamil or English Medium.
  4. Academic Qualification: The applicant must have passed the SSLC or HSC examination and secured the first, second, or third rank at the state level.

Application Process

  1. Visit the Office:
    • Visit the Office/Sub-Office of the Department of Social Welfare during office hours to collect the application form.
  2. Fill Out the Application Form:
    • Complete all the mandatory fields in the form.
    • Paste a recent passport-sized photograph (signed across if required).
    • Attach self-attested copies of the required documents.

    • Submit the completed form and documents to the respective authority based on your location:
