Total Health Check-up Scheme for Construction Workers in Gujarat

The “Total Health Check-up Scheme” is implemented by the Gujarat Building and Other Construction Worker’s Welfare Board (GBOCWWB), Labour, Skill Development & Employment Department, Government of Gujarat. This scheme facilitates a complete physical examination of the construction workers, which can diagnose potential illnesses and early treatment can prevent major illnesses. Hence, major illness can be avoided and the construction worker can lead a healthy life.

  • Under the scheme, preventive health check-ups for workers, with a view to initiate proper treatment/health restoration measures.

Application Process (Online):

Application Process for ‘E-Nirman Card’ under the GBOCWWB:

  1. The eligible building & other construction workers can submit an online application through the official website: https://enirmanbocw.gujarat.gov.in/.
  2. On the home page, click on ‘Registration Page for New Worker’ and a registration page will open. Fill in all the mandatory details and upload all the required documents.
  3. After filling out the form, a payment option will prompt to allow the applicant to make the payment using UPI-based modes/Cards/net banking or even Challan.

Post-Registration Process:

  1. The registering officer shall be notified of the applications successfully submitted and the Registering officer shall scrutinize the applications.
  2. The Registering Officer shall arrange for a scrutiny committee meeting every 15 days and place all applications received.
  3. The committee may recommend approval, reject, or query the application. In case of queries, an SMS will be sent to the applicant with a brief on the query. The applicant may re-upload the requisite documents as per the query raised by the Registering officer.
  4. Applications approved will be notified through SMS and ID cards generated automatically for approved applications.

  1. Only active registered construction workers may log in through ID No./registered phone number and apply through the portal: https://abocwwb.assam.gov.in/.
  2. On the home page of the portal, click on ‘Login Now’ and enter the Mobile Number or User ID. OTP received on the registered mobile number should be entered to complete the login.
  3. The individual console of the applicant opens with various functions such as detail updating, Fees due, and benefits eligible.
  4. Click on ‘Benefit’ and select the applicable scheme under the benefit. The portal redirects to an online application form specific to the scheme.
  5. The applicant fills out the application form and uploads the necessary documents.
  6. Submit the application form, and a tracking/reference number is generated for future reference.

Post-Application Process:

  1. After filling out the form, the construction worker will be allotted time for the test by logging on to the Sanman portal by North Star Institute.
  2. The medical officer of the North Star Institute will check the list of health check-up tests and upload it on the report portal. The joint bill will be applied for the monthly joint bill through North Star at the Head Office, and the bill will go to the Government Labour Officer of the Head Office.
  3. The Government Labour Officer will verify the bill and send it to the Hon’ble Member Secretary for approval.
  4. After checking the bill by the accounting officer, North Star Diagnostic Pvt. Ltd. Ahmedabad will pay the bill online into their account.
