The Maternity Benefit Scheme is a welfare initiative provided by the Punjab Building & Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (P.B.O.C.W.W.B) under the Department of Labour, Punjab. Benefits of the Scheme:
- Female Construction Workers: ₹21,000 per child (maximum of two children).
- Male Construction Workers: ₹5,000 per child (maximum of two children for children of their spouse).
Eligibility:
For Registration as a Building/Construction Worker:
- Applicants must be Punjab residents.
- The candidate must be an unorganized building/construction worker.
- Apply between 18 and 60.
- At least 90 days of building and construction activity per year is required.
- The candidate must have a monthly salary of ₹15,000 or less.
- No other Welfare Fund created by law should include the applicant.
- The applicant should not be an EPF, NPS, or ESIC member.
