The Silicosis Pidit Hita Dhikariyon Hetu Sahayata Yojana is a welfare scheme started for the economic assistance of workers employed in Rajasthan stone mines who are suffering from silicosis, a life threatening lung disease caused due to chronic inhalation of free silica dust.
The scheme Gives financial help to anybody who is diagnoised with silicosis as well as his/her family in case of death as such help is available under online and offline modes of application.icot.
Benefits
- In case of suffering from silicosis: ₹1,00,000/-
- In case of death of a victim of silicosis: ₹3,00,000/-
Eligibility
- Registered construction workers must submit their contributions periodically with the Board.
- According to the Rajasthan Workmen’s Compensation (Occupational Diseases) Rules, 1965, the worker must have silicosis verified by the Pneumoconiosis Medical Board.
- The Rajasthan Environment and Health Care Fund (Rehab) should not have helped the recipient with silicosis.
A person with silicosis may only get help from the Rajasthan Environment and Health Care Fund or the Board.
Exclusions
- Workers who are engaged in mining and quarrying, where the provisions of the Mines Act, 1952 apply, or those working on buildings or other construction works that do not fall under the definition of construction work in Section 2 (d) of the Act, are not eligible for assistance under this scheme.
Application Process
Online Registration:
- Step 1: Visit the official portal.
- Step 2: Click on the “Register” button.
- Step 3: You will be redirected to the SSO registration page. Choose the Citizen option.
- Step 4: Choose between Jan Aadhaar or Google to proceed:
- Jan Aadhaar: Enter the Jan Aadhaar number, click Next, select the name of the applicant, the head of the family, and other members, then click Send OTP. Enter the OTP and click Verify OTP to complete registration.
- Google: Enter Gmail ID, password, and follow the prompts to complete registration.
- Step 5: Upon successful registration, an SSO ID will appear. Set a password and enter the mobile number for completion.
Application Process:
- Step 1: After logging in, the dashboard will open.
- Step 2: Click on the “LDMS” option.
- Step 3: Select “Welfare Schemes” from the menu and choose BOCW Welfare Board.
- Step 4: Click “Apply for Scheme”.
- Step 5: Select “Yojana” from the list of Rajasthan Shramik Card schemes.
- Step 6: Fill in all required details.
- Step 7: Submit the application.
Submission Period:
- Applications for assistance can be made 6 months from the date of the Pneumoconiosis Medical Board’s certificate or, in case of death, within 6 months from the date of death.
- In special cases, the Divisional Secretary may relax the time limit after a satisfactory explanation for the delay.
