The “Subsidy for Energy Efficiency (EES)” is a sub-scheme under the Banglashree Scheme for MSMEs, launched by the Department of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and Textiles, Government of West Bengal, effective from 1st April 2020 to 31st March 2025.
The core objective is to encourage energy conservation by reimbursing expenses related to energy audits and installation of energy-saving equipment in eligible micro and small manufacturing enterprises.

• 50% reimbursement of the cost of Energy Audit by a certified agency (post-implementation of recommendations)

Eligibility Criteria
• Must be a Micro or Small or Medium Enterprise
• Must belong to the manufacturing sector
• Must have started production on or after 1st April 2019
• Date of Commercial Production (DOCCP) must fall between 1st April 2020 and 31st March 2025
• Must be in private, cooperative, joint sector, or state-managed Industrial SHG category
Exclusions
• Enterprises already sanctioned/issued eligibility under previous State schemes
• Units commenced before 01.04.2019
• Units listed in the Negative List (e.g., Sponge Iron, Traditional Bricks)
• Second-hand plant and machinery investments
• Non-manufacturing entities or enterprises outside the defined DOCCP window
Application Process
Online Mode via Shilpasathi Portal
• Step 1: Visit Shilpasathi Portal → Click ‘Apply Online’ → Click ‘Create New’
• Step 2: Select Applicant Type and enter Registration Number
• Step 3: Fill User Registration form → Click Register
• Step 4: Login using credentials/OTP → Navigate to ‘MSME Incentive’
• Step 5: Create CAF (Common Application Form) → Fill eligibility form → Preview and submit
• Step 6: Fill Form-A in the ‘Apply Subsidy’ section → Provide year-wise subsidy data
• Step 7: Upload documents → Preview → Verify & Submit → Note Application Reference Number
