The “Supply of Yarn to Societies etc. at Subsidized Rate” is a sub-scheme under the West Bengal Handloom and Khadi Weavers Financial Benefit Scheme 2025, launched by the Micro, Small & Medium Enterprise and Textiles Department, Government of West Bengal on 7th March 2024. The scheme aims to provide subsidized yarn supply to Primary Weavers’ Cooperative Societies (PWCS), Khadi Weavers’ Societies, and individual weavers for a period of five years from the date of launch.
Benefits
• 10% discount on yarn supplied by TANTUJA to handloom societies
• 5% administrative cost reimbursed to TANTUJA for transportation, storage, and handling
• 10% discount on roving/high count cotton fibre for Khadi Societies purchasing from WBKVIB
• WBKVIB to be reimbursed the full concession amount plus 5% administrative cost
Note: Benefits under this scheme are not applicable to yarn procured under the NHDP Scheme
