The “Grant to Handicrafts Societies” is a component of the “Development of Handicrafts” Scheme implemented by the Department of Industries and Commerce, Union Territory of Puducherry. The scheme promotes the formation and support of registered Handicrafts Societies to enhance collaboration, coordination, and skill development among artisans. The grant enables such societies to participate in or conduct exhibitions to improve market access and visibility of handicraft products.

Eligibility

The society must be registered either as a Co-operative Society or under the Societies Act

All members must be approved artisans by the State Government or the Development Commissioner (Handicrafts)

The society must be exclusively involved in the production and promotion of handicraft items made by artisans from Puducherry UT
