The “Chief Minister’s Scheme for Wood Carving Artists” was introduced by the Government of Arunachal Pradesh to preserve and promote the rich traditional art of wood carving. This initiative aims to empower artisans, provide technical skill-upgradation, and create market opportunities through product development, exhibition participation, and strategic support.
Objective:

Important Features:

Master craftsmanship training for expert wood carvers at NID Ahmedabad and NIFT Kolkata.

Post-training, these Master Craftsmen will impart skill development training to budding artisans in targeted districts.

Applicant must be a permanent resident of Arunachal Pradesh.
