Eligibility
- Construction workers between 18 to 60 years of age are eligible.
- The construction worker must be registered under Section 12 of the Building and Other Construction Workers (Regulation of Employment and Service Conditions) Act, 1996.
- No benefits are provided if death is caused by suicide, substance abuse, criminal activity, or violent acts committed in violation of the law.
- Benefits are given only in the event of the registered worker’s death, not the death of a family member.
- Workers already benefiting from any other financial assistance or rehabilitation scheme for silicosis by the Board are not eligible for this scheme.
