The scheme facilitates irrigation by drilling borewells or excavating open wells, installing pump sets and accessories, and linking agricultural lands to perennial water sources via lift irrigation through pipelines. Applications for borewell energization are registered by the KMDC at Electricity Supply Companies (ESCOMs) of the Energy Department, with the actual energization carried out by ESCOMs.
