Goa State Reward to the Recipient of National Award – financial purse of ₹1,00,000

The “State Reward to the Recipient of National Award” scheme, introduced by the Directorate of Art & Culture, Government of Goa, recognizes and supports local Goan artists who have earned national or international acclaim. This initiative appreciates their contributions and encourages the promotion of Goan talent on prestigious platforms.

Eligibility

Who Can Apply?

  • The applicant must be a Goan artist who has received any of the following National Awards:
    1. Sahitya Akademi Award
    2. Sangeet Natak Akademi Award
    3. Lalit Kala Akademi Award
    4. Padma Awards (for contributions to literature, music, dance, theatre, fine art, folk art, etc.)
    5. Bhartiya Dnyanpeeth Award
    6. Saraswati Sanman
    7. Sahitya Akademi Jivan Gaurav Puraskar (Lifetime Achievement Award)
    8. Sangeet Natak Akademi Fellowship
    9. Any other National or International Award recognized by the Government of Goa.
  • Living artists who have already received such awards are also eligible.
  • Note: An artist can receive the benefit only once, even if they win multiple eligible awards.

Exclusions

  1. Posthumous awards are not considered.
  2. The Sahitya Akademi Award for translation is not eligible under this scheme.

Offline Process:

  1. Visit the Directorate: Applicants must visit the Directorate of Art & Culture, Government of Goa, located at Shram Shakti Bhavan, Panaji, Goa.
  2. Obtain the Form: Collect the application form from the office or take a printout.
  3. Fill in Details: Complete the form, affix a passport-sized photo (signed across), and attach all required documents (self-attested).
