Eligibility
For Maternity Benefits (Matritva Hitlabh)
- The beneficiary must be a permanent resident of Uttar Pradesh.
- The beneficiary must be a registered construction worker.
- The beneficiary must be above 18 years of age.
- Benefits are provided only for the first two deliveries of the worker.
(Note: A widow may also receive benefits for her second marriage.)
For Child Benefits (Shishu Hitlabh)
- For Girl Child Benefits:
- The benefit is applicable for the first girl child born in the family.
- A second girl child benefit is provided only if both the first and second children are girls.
- If there are more than one girl child in the first two deliveries, all girls are eligible.
- In childless families, the benefit applies to the first legally adopted girl child.
