The primary objective of the Kanya Vivah Sahayta Yojana is to provide financial assistance for the marriage of eligible daughters of beneficiary registered labourers and registered women construction labourers working in the building and other construction sectors. The scheme encourages legal, adult marriages to prevent illegal practices related to marriage. All duly registered construction workers (or registered female workers) who have completed at least 365 days (one year) of board membership are eligible to apply for the benefit. The daughter of such a worker—or the registered female worker herself—must meet the minimum age criteria as prescribed by the government from time to time.
Within one year of the marriage’s completion, an application must be submitted via the Public Service Center / Board website with all necessary records. For mass marriages, the application can be submitted 15 days prior to the fixed marriage date. It is mandatory to attach all required documents with the application form.
Benefits
-
Standard Marriage:
- Financial assistance of ₹55,000/- is provided for the marriage of the registered worker’s daughter or the registered female worker.
-
Inter-Caste Marriage:
- An amount of ₹61,000/- is provided as financial assistance.
-
Group Marriage:
- For group marriages (with a minimum of 11 couples organized simultaneously), an amount of ₹65,000/- is provided per couple.

- There is also a provision for a dress allowance of ₹5,000/- each for the bride and groom, which is transferred to the registered worker’s account one week before the mass marriage date. If only one party is present, the advance for the absent party is adjusted against the normal/inter-caste marriage benefit.
-
Self-Marriage (for registered women):
- The same benefit is applicable if a registered female worker marries herself, provided that her parent has not already received benefits under this scheme.
