Benefits
The scheme provides a total financial assistance of Rs. 61,000 to the guardian of the girl child in different stages up to the age of 18 years, released by LIC as follows:

Rs. 2,100/- - At Age 3 Years (after full immunization):
Rs. 2,100/- - On Admission to Class I (6 years):
Rs. 2,100/- - On Admission to Class IX (14 years):
Rs. 2,100/- - At Age 18 Years (after passing Class XII):
Rs. 31,000/- - Scholarship Benefits:
- From Class I to VI: Rs. 100/- per month (totaling Rs. 7,200/-)
- From Class VII to XII: Rs. 200/- per month (totaling Rs. 14,400/-)
Total Benefit at Age 18: Rs. 61,000/-
Eligibility
- Residency:
The parents of the girl must be permanent residents of Punjab. - Birth Date:
The girl must be born on or after January 1, 2011. - Income:
The family’s annual income should be less than Rs. 30,000/-, with proof provided by the blue card issued by the Food and Supply Department, Punjab. - Additional Conditions:
- Girls residing in orphanages and Children’s Homes in Punjab are also eligible.
- The benefit is for the first marriage of the girl; if a girl drops out of school for any reason, subsequent benefits will not be provided.
- Exclusions:
The scheme does not provide any benefit to newly born boys.
