Government of Puducherry, Adi Dravidar Welfare Department has started the scheme Financial Assistance to Poor Scheduled Caste People Chronic Diseases Suffering. Scheme SCs (SC individuals) who are suffering from chronic illness and cannot sustain livelihood.
- Financial assistance of ₹500 per month for eligible beneficiaries.
Eligibility Criteria
- The applicant must be a citizen of India.
- The applicant must have resided continuously in Puducherry for at least five years.
- The applicant must belong to the Scheduled Caste (SC) community.
- The applicant must be at least 18 years of age.
- The applicant’s annual family income must not exceed ₹2,00,000/-.

Online Application Process
- Visit the Official Portal
- Go to the e-District Portal of Puducherry.
- Register a New Account
- Click on “Login” at the top right corner of the homepage.
- Select “Register a New Membership”.
- Fill in the required details:
- Username, Password, Confirm Password
- Personal Details (Full Name, Date of Birth, Email, Mobile Number, Address, Gender)
- Enter the Captcha Code and Click “Signup”.
- Log in to the Portal
- Return to the e-District Portal.
- Click on “Login” and enter your Username and Password.
- Fill in the Captcha Code and Click “Sign In”.
- Apply for the Scheme
- After logging in, a list of Government schemes will appear.
- Click on “Financial Assistance to Poor SC People Suffering from Prolonged Diseases”.
- Fill in all the mandatory fields marked with a red asterisk (∗).
- Upload the required documents (self-attest if required).
- Submit the Application
- Tick the declaration box stating that the details provided are accurate.
- Submit the application and note the application number for future tracking.
- You will receive an SMS/email confirmation with your application number.
